I’m Samm Denena — a retired professional snowboarder who spent my youth competing around the world for Team Canada from the age of 15 to 21. Traveling from country to country, performing at the highest level, taught me discipline, creativity, and how to see the world from angles most people never experience.

When my competitive career came to an end, I shifted that energy into building. I became a carpenter, then briefly an iron worker — trades that deepened my appreciation for craftsmanship, structure, and creating something with purpose. I loved the work, but I knew my path needed to blend creativity with meaning.

That’s when I picked up a camera again — the same way I used to on my travels — and everything clicked.

I fell in love with storytelling all over again.

Today, I capture life the way I used to chase mountains:
